Role
The Music Programming Director will be responsible for curating songwriting retreats, live performances, overnight stays for touring artists, panels and workshops.
Director will also be responsible for developing relationships with artists, entertainment executives, tour managers, labels and publishers as they relate to programming, outreach, rooms & private events,
HYKER's first location in the Smoky Mountains will have a heavy emphasis on the Nashville, Atlanta, & Charlotte music scenes. Connections in these markets is a must.
HYKER Music Programming
Providing unique landscapes and experiences for artists to escape and write their next biggest song (or album) and curating authentic live performances and events is a primary focus for HYKER. We want many of these stays and programs to be free of charge to the artists and guests which will require knowledge in obtaining government and arts programming grants.
Programming audience size can range from 10 to 1500+.
Programming must add unique value to our guests stays and membership programs.
Requirements
Director must have extensive music industry experience and connections (7+ years preferred).
3+ years of cultural event programming.
Flexibility for long hours, last minute travel & event coverage, getting hands dirty and being quick to improvise.
Strong organizational skills to track bookings, handle forward planning of events, ensuring deadline, budgets, VIP requests and more are met.
Government/Arts Grant writing and application experience preferred
Location
Primarily remote based. When needed, working from HYKER will be required for scheduled events.
Travel, Meals & HYKER Accommodations will be covered.
Growth
As future HYKER locations develop, Director will oversee all HYKER music programming.
Location specific music programmers will report to Director.
